Join us January 15th, 9am Pacific, 12pm Eastern for a live Zoom FEEDBACK FRIDAY with Heidi Iverson, Founder of Honeyfolk Clothing. Heidi was one of the original founders of Fibershed, an organization we love and respect so much.
Honeyfolk clothing is entirely handcrafted by Heidi Iverson, in her studio surrounded by second-growth Redwoods in Western Sonoma County. She also devotes time to various forms of textile arts, primarily knitting and natural dyeing with plants and flowers she hand gathers or cultivates.
While cutting pieces for the collection, all smaller off-cuts are set aside and re-used in various projects that require small pieces, like quilts & wall hangings. Amy is obsessed with watching her on Instagram live where she does projects in real time and offers a very soothing experience just watching her stitch and make.
“I had the pleasure of writing the knitting patterns for Rebecca’s dye book ‘Harvesting Color’. I am a founding member of the Fibershed. Its philosophy has always been an influence on my aesthetic, my brand ethic. I am always looking to improve my work, and offer thoughtful, beautifully crafted items that will be cherished and worn for many years.”
If you are not familiar with FEEDBACK FRIDAY, every week, we speak with dyers, artists, scientists and scholars about our favorite topic, natural dyeing and color. Curated by Amy DuFault, Botanical Colors’ Sustainability and Social Media Director and presented by Botanical Colors’ Founder Kathy Hattori.
