Sally Fox has done it again with a fabulous Colorganic® naturally colored cotton in 8 oz. woven twill fabric. This fabric has the drape and ease of a twill and a soft, sanded hand for coziness. It would be perfect for a light shirt jacket or robe. It’s also wide enough (60 inches or 152cm) to make a fabulous throw or picnic blanket with a simple hem. The fabric showcases Sally’s meticulous breeding expertise and blends her Coyote brown cotton with organic creamy cotton. The reverse side is white organic cotton grown in New Mexico. The fabric is 100% US grown, spun and woven.
Sally has spent decades breeding naturally colored cotton, tends a large herd of naturally colored Merino sheep and grows a hardy and delicious Sonoran wheat in the beautiful Capay Valley. She recently noted that her careful land stewardship has more than doubled the amount of organic matter in her soil over the years as she has built a productive organic farm. Her focus has always been on sound land stewardship and carbon capture and retention and we are proud to carry her quality fabrics.
Wash fabric before cutting for sewing and scour fabric prior to dyeing.
The fabric is 60 inches wide and is sold by the yard (36 inches). The fiber is grown, processed, spun and woven in the US.
