Alcea rosea ‘Nigra’
bedhead fibers says:
Hollyhocks are classic garden flowers, creating tall erect plants with rows of dark purple-black blossoms. The grow best in full sun and are great to create a dramatic stand of color in the gardent. Direct sow about a week before last frost has ended. Plant 12” apart, ¼” deep, in moist, well draining soil. Each packet contains about 75 seeds. These deep purple hollyhocks will yield a lovely purple dye. Harvesting flowers will prolong blooming season. Pollinator friendly and native!
Hollyhocks are biennial, meaning if you plant them from seed it will take two years before you can harvest blossoms.
All bedhead fiber seeds have been sourced from farms within the US and are non-GMO.
We regret that we cannot ship seeds internationally.
