Zinnia elegans

Zinnias are some of the perkiest, brightest garden annuals, and are very reliable producers.  Named after the the 18th century German botanist Johann G. Zinn, they will continue to bloom until first frost.  The flower originates from Mexico and was called “mal de ojos”, literally “evil eye”, but it is believed the reference was to their eye-dazzling colors.  The blossoms will yield a soft yellow.

bedhead fibers says:

Zinnia’s pom pom flowers enjoy the sun. Start seeds indoors or direct sow after all threat of frost has passed. Warmth will help speed up germination. Plant 6-12” apart in rich soil. Picking flowers encourages new flower growth! Pollinator friendly, and native!

All bedhead fiber seeds have been sourced from farms within the US and are non-GMO.
