Join us this week, March 27th, 9am Pacific, for a live FEEDBACK FRIDAY! Let’s social distance ourselves from the realities of what’s outside our homes and talk all things natural dyes. What could be better?
If you are not familiar with FEEDBACK FRIDAY, every week, we are emailed with questions from our natural dye community. Weekly, all of your burning questions are answered by natural dyer in chief, Kathy Hattori, Founder of Botanical Colors. Both Kathy and Amy DuFault, Botanical Colors’ Sustainability and Social Media Director will be on hand to moderate and answer questions this week. Hopefully, the two will make you laugh a little bit too.
We’ll be doing all this FEEDBACK FRIDAY live via Zoom…for the first time on our own so bear with us! Dyers from all over the U.S. (and beyond!) are encouraged to join and ask questions around the topic of dyeing with raw materials. (Think marigold flowers, madder root, logwood chips and other materials.) Some of the dye products you can use might even be around your home as you shelter in the dye shack.
Have you ever wondered how to use dried flowers to make a dye with a high concentration of color? Any desire to use raw natural dye materials to bundle dye clothing you have around the house? Maybe you’ve wanted to use natural dye assists like iron, calcium carbonate or cream of tartar?
We’re ready to talk about it and give you some pointers.
RSVP Amy DuFault at [email protected]. We’ll get you on the list for Friday and mail you a link for the Zoom call Friday morning. We can’t wait to see you!
