Shipping Guidelines During COVID-19 

We are shipping during the pandemic but please be aware the nearly all the carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL) are no longer guaranteeing delivery times. We are quoting up to 3 business days for your order to ship (on in stock products), but are endeavoring to ship more quickly than those guidelines. Our supply chain is also experiencing delays. We appreciate your patience during this uncertain time.

Sales and refund policy

All sales are final and we recommend you make your choices carefully. We have specific cancellation policies for workshops, classes and events so please check out those terms and conditions if you have questions.

Lost, damaged or missing goods

Please contact us immediately if any of the items are missing from your order or damaged during transit. Please provide pictures of the damage in your email. For lost packages, we will assist you in submitting any claim on Priority Mail packages to the USPS. However, all refunds are contingent on USPS claim investigation approval.

International shipping and delivery

As much as like to think that we understand the import regulations for 191 countries, you will need to do a little research and be aware of any products that are restricted or forbidden to enter your own country and order responsibly. Often, these are seeds, dried flowers and plants which may be impounded by your nation’s customs authorities. If your articles are seized, we are unable to offer refunds or replacements. In addition, duties, taxes, and/or fees may be charged by the carrier and/or the country of entry. These duties are not charged or collected by Botanical Colors, and Botanical Colors is not made aware of them prior to shipping. Please check with your country and with the package carrier to find out more about duties and taxes on imports in your country.

Priority Mail International

We ship internationally to most countries, usually via USPS Priority Mail. Our shipping system currently calculates shipping for a Flat Rate Priority Mail Padded Envelope, plus handling. If you have ordered an item that exceeds the capacity of the Flat Rate Padded Envelope, we will contact you to make alternate shipping arrangements. We make every attempt to ship to you in the most cost effective and expedient manner and may choose to repackage our kits without their cardboard box as this saves a considerable amount of money with international shipping.

First Class International Packages

Please be advised that for international shipping, we will not be able to trace or track your package if you chose the First Class shipping option.

Shipping seeds and raw plant matter

We are extremely restricted in shipping any seeds outside of the United States and if we are unable to ship to your country will issue and refund and not ship the seeds.

We are also restricted in what raw dyestuffs we can ship internationally. Please do not add dried flowers to your cart unless you have verification from your customs authority that import is allowed. Otherwise, you will not receive them and we will issue you a refund for those items only. We are not able to recalculate shipping costs.

Incorrect address

Please review your shipping address for accuracy. If a package is lost or undelivered because we have received incorrect address information from you, we cannot duplicate or refund your purchase unless the package is returned to us. If the package is returned it can take up to 15 business days. We will require additional shipping be paid prior to a second attempt to reship as well as an accurate new address.

Order turnaround time from order placement to shipping

We strive to ship within one to five business days of receiving your order, and will notify you of any back orders or delays. Our normal shipping days are Tuesday through Friday. All orders are shipped via US Postal Service (USPS) Parcel Post or United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground.

Due to COVID-19, there may be shipping delays. We will ship out to you as soon as possible however we may not be able to maintain our normal shipping schedule due to limited staff and delayed inbound shipments. Thank you for your patience and understanding. 

Tracking information

As soon as we ship out your order, you we be emailed a tracking number. Please use that email and tracking information for all tracking related questions. Please note: once you receive that tracking email, we will not be able to refund your purchase.

Overnight shipping

We offer limited expedited shipping services. If you require overnight delivery, please contact us on weekdays before 10 AM Pacific Time. Please note that due to restrictions from COVID-19, carriers are no longer providing guaranteed delivery times.


If a product is out of stock, we will email you and ask if you would like us to ship the order without the backordered product and ship the backordered product later.

First Class mail, insurance and tracking limitations

First Class mail is the cheapest shipping option that we offer. This shipping method does not include insurance, and only provides limited tracking within the US. If the package is missing, lost or stolen, we cannot provide a refund or replacement for a First Class package.
