2025 Harvest Box: Dye Flower Sampler, Ready to div 2025 Harvest Box: Dye Flower Sampler, Ready to dive into making beautiful colors?

We are so proud of our ongoing relationships with U.S. and Central American-based farmers and we’re celebrating them with our new 2025 Harvest BoxFlower Sampler! As we continue to meet farmers interested in regenerative agriculture and growing dyestuffs for us (as well steward healthy soil), we want to share them with you. This year’s summer harvest was excellent and we are providing you with a variety of natural dye flowers and sawdust we think you will love for bundle dyeing and eco-printing.

Feast your eyes on the lovely colors of Sulfur Cosmos and Marigolds from Oregon, Navajo Tea from Washington State, Black Eyed Susans from Minnesota, and Logwood from Central America.

We have a soft spot for flower dyes and love the beautiful shades that come from each blossom. We also love that many of the flowers are pollinator food, attract beneficial insects and are good for the soil. The logwood is selectively harvested via strict permit and inspection protocols and yields incredible deep, vivid purples. It was too beautiful and we had to share it!

Our collection includes generous amounts of dried flowers grown just for us and 2 mordanted cotton hankies. All you do is dampen the fabric, arrange flowers as desired, roll, bundle and steam. Let cool, unwrap and admire your creation! This is the perfect gift for the natural dye or floral enthusiast in your life. You can choose to dye each hankie in a dye pot (immersion dyeing), or combine the flowers together to make a beautiful bundle dyed piece, or a little of both. The colors come out as brilliant spots of color when bundle dyeing, and as rich solid shades when immersion dyeing.

2 mordanted cotton hankies
Sulfur Cosmos – vivid orange
Navajo Tea- aromatic, soft to bright yellow
Logwood shavings – deep purple
Marigold – deep gold
Black Eyed Susan – soft gray green

Mordanted hemp-cotton napkins are perfect for the holiday table and everyday use. Handwoven from vintage hemp fabric, these are deeply textured, rustic textiles. These beautiful napkins are sturdy, wear well, and get softer and softer. They take color beautifully!

Each napkin is fashioned from vintage hemp-cotton fabric stock. The hemp was grown in a Romanian village field, and each household would harvest, process, spin and weave many yards of household linen for their use. They are approximately 18″ x 18″ and machine hemmed. We used aluminum acetate and calcium carbonate for the mordant.

We’ve washed and mordanted this mordanted hemp-cotton napkin set for you so you can eco-print, bundle dye, or solid dye them with your favorite dyestuffs. Use your own dyestuffs from your garden harvest, or from kitchen scraps.

To bundle dye with these napkins, simply dampen them, sprinkle your favorite dyestuffs, roll tightly and steam for 30 minutes. Let cool and unroll. We used marigold petals, onion skins and sulfur cosmos for a bright, festive colors. The solid napkin is dyed with pomegranate peel.

Sold in a set of two napkins.

Care instructions: handwash or machine wash like colors on gentle at low temperature, using mild soap. Line dry, or dry low until slightly damp, then hang to dry to avoid creases. Acidic liquids such as lemon juice may alter naturally dyed colors.
