This Handspun Eri Silk Embroidery Thread from Botanica Tinctoria is so beautiful. The texture and colors are amazing. This is a very special thread from 7Weaves, hand-spun on drop spindles by forest communities in Assam, India. Additionally, they are hand dyed with sustainable forest-gathered dyes in a beautiful and subtle range of colours. The thread comes as a single strand of Handspun Eri Silk Embroidery Thread in 15 naturally dyed colours. There are 68 metres or approximately 60 yards per skein. This textured single thread is perfect for textural hand stitching, couching and fine crochet.

The harmonious and luminous palette of 14 natural colours is sourced from traditional dye plants such as indigo and madder. All our processes work with the rhythms of the natural world, and our textiles are created in a holistic relationship with our earth.
