Surikomi are traditional, handmade Japanese brushes used for textile painting.  We offer a range of sizes from a tiny, tiny 0.5 beautiful for pinpoint marks and stipples to the popular larger sizes, that are perfect for larger marks. Aquarelle Tannin Liquid

Aquarelle Tannin Liquid is an easy to use liquid natural dye that is considered a “light” tannin. Liquid tannin comes from gall nuts, which contain approximately 50-60% tannin. When used as a mordant, it does not significantly alter the color of other natural dyes. It creates a soft purple color with iron or a light buff by itself. We are thrilled to introduce a new, Pacific Northwest-based indigo paste from the incredible growers and dyers at Vibrant Valley Farm.  Kara Gilbert and her skilled team created Vibrant Valley Blue, a Persicaria tinctoria indigo extract. This product is based on years of growing, harvesting and experimenting with varieties, cultivation and extraction and they’ve scaled their production from a few hundred starts to a robust crop of over 10,000 plants.  The resulting indigo paste is easy to use and creates a beautiful clear blue.  Kara used this indigo to dye a number of garments and styles to hold fashion shows … Read more

Aquarelle Himalayan Rhubarb Liquid

Aquarelle Himalayan Rhubarb Liquid is an easy to use liquid natural dye that creates a beautiful gold or brown on natural fibers. Shifts in pH will create more yellow or nearly brick red colors.
